NOTE: I have only ever participated in one ficathon, so I have no idea just how unforgiveable of a sin this is, but I'm going to plead ignorance and hope no one gets too mad at me. This is lovely and harsh. And Anton Yelchin recently rekindled my love for Kyle Reese, so the pairing was most welcome.

I think Anton is adorable, though for the purposes of this fic, Kyle is the Michael Biehn Kyle ;) (because I feel less pervy that way)

Michael Biehn was amazing. Joshua Jackson (I think that's the name of T:SCC Kyle?) I really didn't like.

I wasn't crazy about the actor either. When they first showed him, I was all OHHELLNO!! (and seriously, wtf??? on his facial hair. tragic.)

After "The Good Wound" I warmed up to him, but overall, I just didn't care for SCC's take on the character of Kyle. I loved Kyle: badass scary crazy soldier from the future, not Kyle: Derek's stupid little brother.

I rushed through this fic so quickly that it's definitely not a completely formed thought, but I just love that however much John having to send Kyle back in time to 1984 and his death might have been, Sarah having to do it herself is even more twisted.

*shivers in delight* Oooooh you know just how to distract me from the homework I SHOULD be doing.

The bits of humor really make this for me. Plus, the word choice is so good I can totally hear Kyle being all sullen, not just with his dialogue but even his thoughts. Poor Kyle gets fucked over by fate so much in this fandom, doesn't he?

I must also admit... I was way too gleeful about Sarah being nekkid for the entire duration of this story. 'Cause I'm a dirty minded ho like that.

Kyle is definitely fate's bitch. Poor Kyle :( It ain't easy being pretty. Hee. And Sarah should totally be naked more often.

Oh, indiefic, thank you. I'm so glad you're playing with prompts. You are such a master at this universe, you slide into the characters with what seems like so little effort! This was heartbreaking and exactly what I was looking for with Kyle and Sarah. Just...ow. Beautiful and yet such a gut-punch because we know what's waiting for Kyle in 1984.
