Most skate shops can install trucks on any kind of shoe you want. For example, Ref Raf's doc marten skates.
Otherwise I'd look on ebay.
And I'd never use knee high skates for anything but looking cool, definitely not derby. Wicked nasty on the ankles, restrictive of the calf muscles, and you'd have no turning radius.
I definately don't want them for derby. My biggest interest is for a specific costume I'd be using frequently. As much as I love the thought of getting into derby skating, I know my knees and my right ankle couldn't take that kind of stress. It's also what keeps me from picking up free-running. *sad panda* I never get to do the fun things I want to do.
