What's money anyway...

So anyone who knows me well knows my car. Little red Dodge Colt, no space in the back, that I drive way too fast. And anyone who knows that car knows I love it dearly. Well, today it got put to rest. I no longer own that car, nor will I ever see it again (likely). I pity anyone who ends up driving it, and I honestly hope it gets junked... I'd like to think I was the last person to drive that car.

What brought this on? Yeah, it was going to cost me ~$3000 worth of repairs just to bring it up to VA safety standards. $500 or $1000... I might have paid that... but not $3000.

So... how am I getting around now, you ask? I am now the proud owner of a new car... a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon. V6 6spd, leather interior, all that fun stuff. If I had been able to get financing, I might have been able to get my hands on a 3000GT. I probably will never own one, but at least I've gotten to drive one. And by the time I'm willing to get another car all the 3000GT's will be too old to own... so I can only hope that Mitsubishi re-introduces the model, or that something equally spiffy appears on the market in 8-10 years. Granted, the Tib is almost as spiffy, but nothing will ever top the 3000GT VR-4 Twin Turbo. But enough about the 3000GT. So my car is Cobolt Blue, pretty. I had wanted Silver or Teal, but for the amount of work that was required to get this car, I wasn't going to push my luck. And 5.5 hours at a car dealership is more than enough. And the car is under $20k all said and done. Which means that I can actually afford it (well, one should hope.)
