[Because he’s still using the video feed when he receives the text, Adachi’s reaction is on display for Karkat’s amusement. As the detective reads, his dark eyes grow comically wide, mouth parting in incredulity. Finally, with an unhappy pout to his lips, his gaze drops from the message to the actual communicator. Fiddling around with the buttons in confusion, the video feed finally cuts.]
