I had the same reaction as you, actually. I mostly included the link because it brought up the Shakesville post, though I do think that towards the end the article makes some good points. Bu Marcotte is doing the classic "bawww everything is about me," since her dislike of the post is mostly grounded in her personal reactions to the subject of rape/sexual assault. If a lot of survivors are uncomfortable with rape jokes, isn't it... I don't know... best if rape survivors who are fine with them remain considerate towards more sensitive individuals

The rape joke was pretty much what I expect to get with PA, but the 'apology' was fucking insulting and annoying.
