I really hate the shopping part of the holidays.

I am so thankful for Amazon and my Prime account now. I don't go to the stores barely at all.

I had to grab something for secret santa at a party I'm going to tomorrow night. Yeeeah.

I'm so glad for my account too!

I am so excited for winter quarter. I'm not taking any classes and I only work 3-4 days a week, so I'm going to have so much free time to do things like play video games and read.

Also, PFS tonight, oh yeah.

Something going on in the WoW RP community that I personally found highly skeevy: http://wow.joystiq.com/2011/12/08/the-broken-doll-roleplaying-storyline-chills-hundreds-on-moon-gu/#continued

It's basically a huge! awesome! RP scenario! - except it's horror, and people were "invited" to participate via creepy threatening messages containing things like nooses.

And the villain is a woman with disassociative identity disorder (the creator claims) who is out to murder the people who abused her back when she was a "dimwitted, overweight girl". Including, you know, the "heroes", the people who are supposed to solve the mystery and kill her. (Or, to be fair, "redeem anything that's still worth saving".)

Given how much trauma it takes to induce DID, I say, the heroes should die.

When I rule the world there will be a ban on writing DID until you can officially prove you know what hte fuck you're talking about.

Watched:

"I'm a Cyborg, but that's ok" which was a fun, disturbing, and compelling Korean movie that is a... rom com magical realism movie taking place in a mental institution? I'm torn between the problematic portrayal of the mentally ill for wacky hijinx vs. the really awesome fact that they're the only ones who actually get to be characters - the doctors, the staff, and outside family are generally not sympathetic characters at all.

"Chrome Shelled Regios" - a post-apocalyptic sci-fi with magical martial arts vs. bug monsters. It's well animated, the action was good, and the characters got to be a little more interesting than flat, but never quite to where they could have gone. Also, harem anime tropes and an evil lesbian :(

Playing:Dungeon Defenders- we're now taking levels on Hard and Insane, and basically looking to refine what has been winning strategies. Could definitely use more people ( ... )

Huh. Looks kinda interesting. Not sure I'd go watch it in theaters, but maybe when it comes out on DVD I'll get a bunch of friends together to see if it's worth it.

When it's the creator of Buffy, I trust him to at least try to do something innovative with the concept.
