my side lip piercing healed by about 4-5 days but i can remember it stinging a lot for the first two days. labret took a little longer to heal.

& how long before you changed your labret stud to the smaller one?

it's probably not infected...unless its green or something! i thought mine was cos it throbbed so bad but it's just your body being like wtf are you doing to me. hm i left the long labret stud in for quite a while because i was too lazy to get a new one. i think you should leave that one in for about two months just for it to completely heal all good.

5-8 weeks says the info sheet I got from the piercing studio where I had both mine done.

officialy 4 to 5 weeks,though if you take care of it very well it wont bother you at all,dont change the piercing the 1st 4 weeks though,and dont play with it..

2 weeks for the swelling to go down..about 2 months to fully heal

every piercer says a diff. thing but honestly its different for every person. I always wore small ones when I got mine pierced ages ago..geez they dont swell that much! but ive pierced some people who's lips get as big as Africa... if you think u can waer the smaller ones go for it...or just wear studs in the mean time. =D
