I think I am at my weirdest in the morning and in the kitchen. Today I stood on a stool and turned in a circle while my bagel was toasting and imagined that I was 7 feet tall in my kitchen for about 5 minutes. I have the slowest toaster oven on the planet. Then I cut and ate a mango. I am beginning to understand the subtleties of mangoes after this

I actually hate mangos for that very reason, and I tell everyone I am allergic to them.

Remember, even when there are few jobs available in a chosen profession, doesn't mean you won't find work. If you're good--and you are--and pleasant to work with--and you are--you can be successful. So don't let limited job availability keep you from following your dream. I will never know if I would have been a great interior designer today or not because I didn't have the confidence in myself to pursue it once I heard it was a tough field to crack into. I've always regretted that.

And, Annon- you should still consider interior design! A tough field to crack simply means that you have to be awesome at what you do and driven at the same time. If you're willing to work hard, you really can make anything happen.

They are such a sexy fruit. And once you figure out the 'right' way to cut them, they aren't so difficult to deal with. There's a way to figure out where the big pit is by looking at the stem and the line on the opposite end. Then cut parallel to that line about one cm to each side of that line. Once you have the halves on either side of the big pit, slice the fruit into cubes inside the outer skin with perpendicular cuts. Turn the skin inside out - presto! Delicious mango cubes!
Notboyfriend and I always go hunting for mangoes wherever we are.
