I forgot to mark the third year of my unusual relationship with Robotech. This is unfortunate, but not entirely unexpected, given that I’ve just been recovering from a bad patch with the fandom

I suppose that when I contemplate "detachment from the rest of fandom," I come up against how I'd been in a "fandom of one" myself, not really thinking about the mere possibility of discussing many things I was interested in with others, until I was out of high school and went online for the first time. This has to have had an effect on me. I know, of course, that it's different for everyone, and I can't say I'm entirely solitary...

Once I'd heard about "an interview with James Luceno," though, I did take a bit of interest in it. I even had the thought I would have liked to try and ask a question, but I suppose the one that came to mind, about some details of chronology, seems very much like one from an obsessive who remembers meaningless fine details...
