For once I'm not talking about school work. The building's fire alarm has been going off for 45 minutes. We have newspaper taped over the source of the sound and Eden found a couple of pairs of earplugs. A water pipe burst and it's causing the alarm thing to malfunction. Tragically, the rice pudding has enough cream that I have to want to feel really ill for a while before eating it. Heh. It's so tasty though...

call up the people whose responsibility it is to fix this thing, and put the phone to the alarm.

That is seriously annoying. I hate when the alarm just goes off...I never know if it's real or not. In my last apartment I would just grab the animals and run out back cause I was on the ground floor. Now being on the 9th floor I have to squish both cats in the carrier and put Ashwyn in a cloth bag over my shoulder and run down the stairs only to find out there is no fire! Hazen is a heavy boy so I worry about dropping the cats someday.
I have a fear of fire, it's worse when I think about what would happen if I wasn't home to get the animals out...last time I freaked out and had an anxiety attack.
