I'm having a d-difficult time thinking of something to write lately but...but I think I'm thinking too hard. At least, I think that's w-what Kiba would say. I hope we get to play frisbee a-again sometime. I had so much fun b-before ( Read more... )

That was part of it. ^_^;;;;

I haven't read the comments of his last post yet, but an entry like that does look worrisome. Maybe sometime when he seems better and freer would be a good time to ask him. ^_^

Oh... Is th-that really popular on the internet?

I didn't r-read them either, in case they were personal. But he seems v-very sad. He said he w-wanted to train with me later. Maybe I can a-ask him then?

Surprisingly. Some people like to explore social taboos in literature and other "fictional" venues.

That sounds like a good idea.

I d-don't know what you mean by that...

You think so?

Hmm. I'm not sure how to explain it succinctly, but I'll try. Writers commonly use fiction writing as a virtual playground where they can explore what-if scenarios without involving real people. Sometimes these scenarios are less than ethical and not something you'd want to put real people through just to see what would happen or to prove a point. But in fiction, no one's being hurt. Does that make more sense, or am I confusing you more?

It can't hurt. He seems a pretty honest guy. If it's bad timing, then he'll tell you it is.

Oh I think I s-see. But what if people end up reading about th-themselves in ways that make them uncomfortable? It seems unfair to put that on them...

I don't w-want to upset him.

I agree, it is unfair. But a lot of the time the people being written about only exist in the writing. They would never be aware that someone was writing about them, so the issue wouldn't come up. But when they do exist outside the writing, and end up reading about themselves in ways that make them feel uncomfortable, I think they have the right to complain about it.

Do you think it would upset him if the wording you used was something like, "May I ask for some advice about what to write for Gaara?" I can understand not wanting to upset him.

But th-they exist here, don't they? I...I would feel terrible if I'd written something l-like that.

I don't think I w-would upset Naruto. I was worried about upsetting Gaara with w-what I write.

Yes, they do exist here. This is a special place. I don't think you're write something like that in the first place.

Oh, I see. While he's not Gaara, perhaps Naruto would have a good idea what wouldn't upset Gaara.

You're welcome.

I hope he has some good advice. Writing is fun once you know what to write about. ^_^

That's true. I'm r-really starting to like it.

Do you write too?

Some of it's really personal, some of it's unfinished, some of it I'm not satisfied with... Reasons like that. ^_^
