I really enjoyed reading this and getting a look at your Ariadne. It feels very true to the film, and Ariadne's inner trength really shines through. Thanks so much for sharing!

You're very kind to say so, and I'm really happy that my interpretation of Ariadne seems genuine. I considered putting a romance in the story, but I felt that it would be disrespectful to her since the focus is on her as a person with incredible potential and, yes, strength.

Ariadne is my favorite character in the movie,, so I pay a little more attention to fics with her as a central figure. :) There's plenty of shipping fics in the fandom, but good genfic is really rare. I like the story as is, where her history and potential is the focus. It definitely serves her better than a shippy fic would in this case.

I'm glad you think so too. When I was writing the ending, I thought about pairing her up with Arthur or a nice OMC or a nice OFC, and then immediately afterwards, I thought, oh, ugh, that would be awful! I actually wrote a little more of the story that started going into her career after graduation and maybe meeting someone, but then I realized that leaving it open-ended with a beautiful dream sequence worked much better, so I did that.
