Seeking Hermione Granger
This game is AU to the events of Deathly Hallows. This game is canon through the events of Halfblood Prince and has progressed AU afterward. Please read the starting game plot and summary so that you know the events and timeline of the war in general, for purposes of this game.
Hermione is a crucial character, being one of the 'Trio'. Preference will be given to applicants who show a strong grasp of the character, a willingness to be active and work closely with the Muns for Ron and Harry as well as other 'canon' friends.
Though a Mun for Hermione is welcome to grow and develop her character in any future direction they wish within reasonable and logical character growth, at present time she is not nor has she ever been a Death Eater or sympathizer with the DE cause.
Hermione's parents died - were killed deliberately to get at her as a tool to wound Harry - during the war.
Hermione is presently living with Harry in a flat in London on a platonic basis. Hermione has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Ron, though as Ron has a new Mun as well, this is free to be decided between the Muns of Ron and Hermione how much of this particular history to keep. Hermione has also dated several other existing in-game characters, so there are numerous relationship-plot-potential directions to take here without being rigidly tied to anything at this time. This game does not tend to be "ship" focused, so the presence or absence of a romantic interest is not crucial for the application process.
Hermione completed her N.E.W.T. exams last year after spending a year in extensive, independent study while working as Remus' Teacher's Assistant at Hogwarts. She retained the post this year for lack of any other decisive direction to take, but a new Mun is welcome to seek a different career path. During her independent study, she interacted with the teachers at Hogwarts as-needed to help prepare her for her various exams.
This character needs a Mun who is a leader, a driver, and who is willing to grow and develop the canon character relationships as well as foster new ones. Ginny Weasley, Katie Bell and Luna Lovegood are all presently cast characters with whom Hermione can/should/would have extensive history as well as future interaction, as well as most of the Weasley family, Remus Lupin, Harry Potter, Snape to a lesser extent, and several other characters contemporary to Hermione, such as Millicent Bulstrode, Dean Thomas, Seamus Finnigan, and Draco Malfoy.
A new Mun ought not to try and mimic the previous Hermione interpretation, but should make the character your own while keeping as much of the existing history as possible.
