The carpet is clearly jealous of Saito giving his attentions to his new airline, so Saito has to prove his love to both of them. Perhaps even lining an airplane with said carpet and giving sweet love to both.

Saito just couldn't take it anymore. The vehement stares, the biting comments. The sex refusal. It was too much. The carpet would barely even look at him these days. And when it did, it was one of those stares of death that had a tendency to make him feel like his guts were exploding. It was almost like guilt, but then, why in the hell should he feel guilty? He was merely a man, granted a badass demi-god of a man who could make the entire world his bitch at the flick of a fountain pen, but a man all the same. And like all men, he was vulnerable to love. He couldn't help it that he had fallen into its unrelenting gaze! How was he to know that the Airline would steal his heart? But that didn't mean he loved the carpet any less
