In the movie, Eames pays a local to show him the way to Yusuf's place, so he probably knows him by reputation only. When Eames finds out about the deal with Cobb, he has some sharp comments for Yusuf. What I'd like to see is a fic where they don't know each other that well and don't really trust each other, but an attraction grows between them anyway. Something with lots of moral relativism, a snarky, clever, distant Eames, and a mysterious, perceptive, erudite Yusuf. Just the guys being complicated, intelligent criminals together.
