It's Arthur's birthday.

Cobb knows Arthur's birthday, but since being reunited with his kids, he doesn't have time (or inclination) to call or send anything.

Arthur's birthday comes around, and he doesn't realize it. Why would he? He's just working, nothing special. No one really knows much about him anyway, really it's just another day.

Actually, Arthur's never really celebrated his birthday. His mother never bothered. His school/college acquaintances never even knew the date. ("Friends?" Not really.) The first gift he ever got, in fact, was from Mal. Mal bought him birthday gifts, which he accepted awkwardly, feeling strange. And it's only after he's gone that he realizes how lovely that felt. To be thought of as a person instead of as a means to an end.

So, it's Arthur's birthday, and he doesn't even realize it.

Eames realizes it, though.

Gimme some sugar, nonnies? Some in character sweetness?

Wait, WHAT? I was the OP of this! Not the other anon up there. WTF? And I didn't even see this until today because it wasn't on the fill list (that I saw.) So who is this other anon pretending to be the OP??

With that said, thanks for the fill, though I'm a little mad that someone else pretended to be me with words that weren't mine.
