The first time through, Arthur toys with the idea that he might be dreaming, but the people around him don't seem like his projections, and nobody wants anything from him, and in the end he shrugs it off as just one of those things without even consulting his totem ( ... )

yay!! thank you so much fellow anon. AND you understood the real reason i didn't want eames to just fuck arthur into the future- the crushing disappointment of waking up alone every time.

Sure. Nervous about it, but that's nothing new, since I'm nervous about everything. But since I want to improve, I really do appreciate concrit.

If Eames had looked mildly concerned the first time they spent the day together, he now looked ready to call the men in white coats. Or possibly Dom. Arthur wasn't sure which would be worse.

"Arthur, you're not dreaming. I'm flattered if you routinely dream of me, of course, but I can assure you, I am me and very real. I can only assume the rest of the world is as well, but if it would make you feel better, I'll check my totem-- Arthur,"

"I've checked mine. It's wrong." He shook his head.

Etc. This is some potential but tense changes like that are well-known to make most people immediately back-click. If you can clean those up, this could be a lot of fun.
