Okay, I am relatively calm now, sorry :/
Dude, the more fills, the merrier! You don't have to apologise at all, especially not for adding to a wonderful prompt. But thank you for your consideration? (oh dear, sorry if I'm coming across as awkward. I fail spectacularly at communication.)
Anyhows. Your story was utterly gorgeous and hilarious and just so, so spot on. I loved everything, from Arthur's mountain-man-beard, to Eames abusing his emergency contact power to their respective domestic duties to the shaving (which you've probably already gathered) to the easy, natural, trusting relationship between them.
And gah, I'm a diehard A/E fan but your second last paragraph took my breath away.

Okay, first, HIGH FIVE for platonic shaving kink *clings*
Second, thank you so much for writing this!! I would elaborate and praise you and tell you how much I liked this but, strangely enough, first author!anon said roughly everything I wanted to say. No lie. (dear first author!anon, I think it's fate.) So, yes, do NOT apologise for your fill, it's a fantastic fill! I like how Arthur is still a bastard (“You aren’t ambidextrous,” Arthur replies, dryly. “Your handwriting is just so bad that it doesn’t look worse if you write with the wrong hand.” I AM SORRY EAMES, I LIKE YOU, BUT I LAUGHED.) and he fails at picking up girls. Arthur. Arthur fails at picking up girls. Because he looks like a creepy mountain man. How do you expect me to not like your fill after that?
And, as was mentioned before, the second to last paragraph (and last paragraph for that matter) are beautiful.
Thank you so much, author!anon ♥

oh, anon. This was so lovely. They're MFEO even when they're just friends. Their bromance is epic and shall live on forever; I applaud you for making me love this as much as you did. :D
Do you mind if this is posted in a kink meme roundup at eames_arthur? (even if there's no romance here, their interactions are too fantastic for the world to not see)

Also very honoured to be in the roundup ;)

I loved it with all my being, seriously! Arthur and Eames make the best of friends!

Holy shit, was he ever wrong. Arthur is quiet, but only around strangers and beautiful people - which Eames finds incongruous, because Arthur is technically a beautiful person himself. He says as much, matter-of-factly. Arthur simply stares at him gormlessly like he’s an idiot and, the little bitch; from that moment on makes a specific point to loudly profess to all and sundry that Eames is trying to get into his pants.
Arthur is bookish but will devour anything, from geography textbooks to Sartre to Conan Doyle to cookery books to ancient tomes closeted ( ... )

Arthur wakes up when dawn slithers in through the heavy curtains, a pale pink sliver of light falling directly onto his face. He yawns and stretches, accidentally elbowing Eames in the chest.
Huh? His weary, sleep-slow mind cogitates, why the fuck am I so close to- holymotherfuckingsweetbaby-
Because they are unintentionally spooning, with Eames (back to the wall, arms around Arthur’s waist, dead to the world) nuzzling the nape of his neck, breath ghosting along the sensitive skin there. Flustered, he struggles and flails and thrashes and even resorts to saying Eames’ name multiple times in what he hopes is a firm, decisive, non-panicked manner. All of which is in vain, for Eames does not wince, does not flicker an eyelid, does not shift.
The worst part is, Arthur is pretty damn strong when he wants to be, but Eames is a machine, arms corded and unyielding. Morosely, he contemplates the likelihood of Eames having died in his sleep and rigor mortis setting in ( ... )
