Arthur/Eames, infidelity, established relationship, angst

Hi, trying to track down an Arthur/Eames fic in which they start a relationship prior to Mal's death and Mal tries to warn Eames about Arthur's inability to commit to anyone. HOWEVER, there are a couple of differences from those you've specified, like it's Cobb, not Mal, so this may not be what you're looking for.

Unfortunately, no, that's not the one. I've read that one before. In the story I'm looking for, it's definitely Mal who warns Eames (maybe it would help people if I also mentioned that Mal's death comes a year or two after that warning), and Eames finally stops acting like a doormat before the end. I won't spoil the ultimate ending by saying how Arthur reacts to that.

Thanks for trying, though. Hopefully someone will have another clue to give me. :)

Oh, one other detail that might help, that's not too spoiler-y since it won't tell you how the story ultimately ends: The final straw comes after the Fischer job when Eames, Arthur and Ariadne are working on a job and despite Arthur having resumed his relationship with Eames, he obviously begins an affair with Ariadne (or at least as close as you can come before you actually have the sex--that's a little ambiguous), and that's when Eames says, "I'm out of here."

It really is a well-written, well-plotted character-focused story. I hope one of you can find it for me--I've yet to not have a fic finder wish granted here! You guys are great. :)

P.S. I have a thing for Arthur-behaving-badly-towards-Eames stories, especially ones where he cheats on him (but there's a happy ending, please), so if anyone has any other stories that fit that, I'd be happy to hear of them. I've checked the infidelity tag here, but there's only one story and Arthur's not the guilty party. Thanks again!
