Boston, Day 2

We did the tour-thing today ... like many of our trips to compact cities, we walked and walked and walked. I'm astonished at how long I can walk when we're on vacation, given how little I walk when I'm working from home. Yeah, it is funny how much more effort you can make when you're interested in what's going on. Just walking a track doesn't do it.

It sounds like you guys had a marvelous time. Boston is a great city. Beacon Street is one of my favorite areas in the nation.

I did Boston in May of 2005 with a group of 8th graders. I wish we had more time there. One of our days was spent in Plymouth (which I truly loved), and one day was in Boston proper. Our first stop was unplanned because of a change in our travel arrangements that resulted in us arriving several hours sooner than scheduled. They asked what we wanted to do for 2-3 hours and I immediately said, "Can we tour Fenway Park?" It was SUCH a great day. I want to take my boys there one day.
