"Weekend" was everything you related. In all seriousness I think it may be the first movie I've ever seen that accurately tells the story of how two people decide ... not necessarily that they're in love, but that they're important to each other, and that they want, maybe need to stay connected, to be in each others' lives.
On second thought I guess that pretty much is love, isn't it.
Intimacy - *real* intimacy - requires all the steps these guys experience. Some of them are fun, but many are not; when barriers come down one learns a lot about oneself, as well as the other guy. And some of it isn't pretty or flattering. But there's also a liberation; sharing all the crazy, weird, sad corners of one's soul with someone else, finally. And discovering that someone doesn't walk away.
AH - I think the movie website is a bit out of date. It shows it as playing at the Ken here, but it ended up at the Hillcrest Cinemas instead... Good that it's in Beantown..

Ian - their website shows opening dates for October, and I can't believe that Boston isn't listed. Montgomery, AL is - what's that about??
Definitely organize the Boston posse to see it with you...
