Hi! It seems like there are a lot of us new people lately. So exciting!

Do you sew using patterns or draft them yourself? Any favorites?

I am still not skilled enough to draft my own patterns. I have learned how to alter them slightly though -- which makes for great improvements...things like arm bands that aren't too tight, a little more room in the bust or waist.

I'd honestly say my favorite pattern is a plain jane skirt. The fabric and the length make it different every time, but I've finally got the fit I want after altering the pattern slightly.

Hancock Fabrics had a great sale on patterns and I think they may be having another this month. Every time they do I try to find as many "my sized" patterns as I can and go from there.

Crafting is so rewarding ^__^.

Once you find/make a skirt pattern that works for you it's pretty simple to adjust the shape or length. So versatile!

Yes, now I'm looking for the perfect dress!
