one of my favorite religious studies classes was on new religious movements. some of them get out of hand while others become mainstream religions. heck, even the ones that faded away (father divine's peace mission movement) were pretty interesting.

i missed the new documentary about jonestown that aired at SIFF, but i heard it was both creepy and informative :)
