The Rally Life

Jun 10, 2009 22:53

As of today, I have been to anti-charter change rallies against ALL the Filipino presidents after Cory. During Ramos' time we I walked the entire length of Roxas Blvd to the Quirino Grandstand with my parents, grandparents and even Ia and Ayo who must have been about 4 and 6 years old at the time. With Erap I marched with the UP activists all the ( Read more... )

grabe. kinilabutan ako sa photo. i can feel the pride of being pinoy sa flags.

sobrang mahal ko ang pinas. may slight luha ako watching some of the news yesterday kasi how i wish that people can be mobilized for better things. that we need not be shaken by anger or fear before we get together and work as one.

at gusto kong ngumawa na nandun si jdv at mga ibang pulitiko na nagkukunwaring concerned, pero sa totoo lang andun sila para sa ambisyon nila.

salamat sa pagpunta ina. i would have wanted to be there.

Hi Ina. This is Joanne. I'm a friend of Mike's and we met last May at my dad's wake (see how I told you this will forever be remembered as the occasion we met?). Anyhoo, I stumbled across your multiply site while checking Leslie's site. I really enjoyed browsing your pics and reading about your kids. So darn cute! Buti sa 'yo nag-mana. Just kidding. I also read your latest entry on your livejournal and can honestly say I wish I were there. I used to work along Ayala Ave and have joined a rally or two in my day ... (a million years ago). Anyway, just wanted you to know I stopped by. Keep up the great posts. Regards to Mike =)

Joanne! Did Mike ever call you after the wake? Oh no. Too late. But at least we met, even in if in less than ideal circumstances. Did you ever get to meet Marou?

Thanks for visiting! I was still a bit riled up when I wrote this post. And disappointed by how un-thrilling it was. When I was in college, we had SOME rallies. But that was pre-EDSA Dos when it became en vogue.

Hey, if you have a multiply site, add me as a friend. There's lots of photos and stuff in my site that's visible for contacts only. I don't exploit my children THAT much. Konti lang. Hehe. Oh and Lia, our eldest, looks nothing like me. She is just like her Daddy. Makulit at matigas ang ulo. Hahaha!

Thanks ulit!

Ina, this is Joanne again. I don't have a Multiply site and I don't have a Livejournal one either. I don't even have a Facebook account. But before you think I am totally tech-challenged, I do have a blog. Please feel free to visit it when you get the chance. My address is www.junarakasa.blogspot.com

No, Mike didn't get to call after the wake and I didn't get to meet Marou. The next few days after were a little crazy rin for me. It's ok. I was just glad to see you all even in less than ideal circumstances =) We are planning to be home for the holidays so hopefully we can catch up then. Jogs was saying we have to do this Quizshow thing? I'm not sure what it's called. Maybe I can meet Lia and Desi in person too. Until then, I'll be checking up on your site =)

Take care and keep up the great posts!
