Two movies and a book
I feel like I have exceeded my monthly quota of movies or something; last week I went to see both Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Hairspray. But they were good.

C'est le fin
I've finished it. I got home around 10:00 a.m. today from picking up the seventh Harry Potter, and by a bit after 10:30 p.m., I'd finished reading it. Yes, I did stop for lunch and dinner. My pace overall seems to be slightly less than 100 pages an hour, reading about 200 pages at a stretch.

The BBC is having a Big Welsh Challenge, which is both the prompt for this mention and the source of the quote. As an addition to the crackiness. . .
I've decided that Napoleone Buonaparte can at least unify northern Italy--Piedmont-Sardinia, Milan, Venice, Tuscany, etc--kicking the Austrians out and setting up his capital at Milan. He could then embark on a campaign to "liberate" Corsica as an addition to the "Republic." But would he proclaim himself Emperor? I dunno ( Read more... ) -
