I feel as if I've been hit on the head with a hammer. Benazir Bhutto, head of the PPP, was assassinated at an election rally in Rawalpindi. It shouldn't come as a surprise; nevertheless, I am in shock.

Oh man, I know.

I saw a bulletin board thread about it this morning, and STARED at my screen, in denial, trying to rearrange the words Bhutto and assasination into a sentence that included the phrase failed attempt.

I understand the denial; that was my first thought too.

I heard it from my mother and raced to my computer to find out, hoping that somehow she was mistaken.
