I knew they were looking at the skeleton to SEE if it was him, but I didn't know until I read this post that they've declared it to be him for sure. Very cool! Especially as I read a historical-fiction account of his life last year: The Sunne in Splendor. (Good book, although if you decide to read it, get the Kindle version: the paper version has 900+ pages!) Anyway, thanks for the link!
I didn't know anything about it till today. Love the research that went into it. Thanks for the book rec. How did knowing the ending influence your enjoyment of the book?
When I started the book (which was a birthday gift), I really didn't know anything about Richard III, except the thing with his nephews in the Tower. I did do a little Googling while I was reading, because I was fascinated by the author's account (which, although fiction, is clearly based on a lot of historical research). So, yes, I did know he would die at Bosworth Field before I got to that point in the story. But, no, it didn't influence my enjoyment of the book. It felt a little bit slow to get started, but pretty soon I was caught up in the story. The POV switches around sometimes, which was a little annoying, but I got used to it.
