We just got the wii fit. It's kicking my soft lilly white arse. But... damn... given the rabid fervor with which I loathe repetitive exercise, I can't believe I actually find myself looking forward to... jogging. IN PLACE, no less. O_o
Talk about a life change.

Oh, and also? My splitting maul. It's like an ax, but way heavier. I bought it over the weekend and used it to chop down to size some of the huge logs that have been slow to dry and slow to burn and that have made life with the woodstove less happy this year. But OMG the splitting maul!! I just used some of the smaller wood, and the stove has never been happier...

Neat!

About the acupuncture -- how did you discover that an acupuncturist could help with a digestive problems? And how did you find this particular acupuncturist?

I ask because I have some weird issues (jaw clenching/tooth grinding) which I heard could possibly be helped by acupuncture. Just not sure how to verify this or how to find a good acupuncturist.

I 4th the demand for more acupuncture info, as a fellow suffered of digestive problems. I have a friend in Boston who goes out to JP for acupuncture and it really helps her migraines, so I was thinking of trying it sometime. Tell us more!

Yes - warm feet are SO key. Living in Wisconsin, I have the warmest parka that LLBean makes and shearling slippers and oceans of smartwool socks. I bought Martini-Corona the same warm slippers for Winter Solstice Holiday and as an attempt to spread warm feet across the frozen land. Glad you found some for yourself. :)

Best new purchases:
1) Lined tall brown leather boots. Stylish AND warm!
2) Angora wrist warmers. No more arthritis when the weather changes!

Cool. That is so awesome. I had a great winter coat in Boston. Every winter I wore it. Every winter I was warm. Every winter my eyes itched and I was sniffly and congested. Every winter I was wearing down and hadn't realized it. I wish I could wear down. I had a fabulous down comforter that I gave away...sigh!
