Want size 7 shoes?

Jun 05, 2008 09:11

Anyone want a pair of Keen Presidios in black, size 7? Only worn one day, before blisters indicated that I should have gotten the smaller size! And now I'm at work, and have nothing else to wear, and have wasted $90! Whee!

In other news, why the fuck can't I tell whether shoes fit while I'm still inside the store/my house? (Alternately, why ( Read more... )

Have you tried zappos.com? Easy ordering, very easy returns, and as long as you don't scuff/stink up/etc the shoes, totally returnable.

Sometimes that's what I do, yeah. But I prefer stores because if I order online, I have to order 7 or 8 pairs (a few styles in a couple of sizes each) in order to find one pair that fits -- if I'm lucky. That's a lot of money up front, unless I do one at a time, and then I can't compare...

I'm hoping I can still return today's pair, which don't look scuffed to me. But maybe the salespeople can still tell. I hate having to lie: "no, I didn't wear them outside!"

If you can't return 'em, I'd like to try 'em on.

If the return fails, and they don't fit beah, I'll give them a try. My feet are really hard to fit, though, so don't pin any hopes on me. That is, you should prioritize everyone else first. :) Also, I still owe you back your crutches.

I can't think about planning anything until after I'm done with work next week. But then I'll come get my crutches (and I'd love to actually hang out a bit!). I'm glad you don't need them anymore. :)

Dude, where do you think I put my shoes? ;)

You have feet, right? It's not lady business; it's stupid-feet business!

Yeah, but I don't think i've ever had nearly this much anxiety over obtaining footwear, and I'm betting that most dudes are in the same boat as I.

If Carrie Bradshaw's taught me anything, it's that a lady's relationship w/her shoes is more involved than a fella's.

Also, if you're getting into exotic shoe placement, you need a website.

I suppose if you had a job that required a suit and swanky dress shoes (actually I don't know what your work dress code is) and you had similar foot issues, you might be in the same boat? But then again, most dudes, if they have foot issues, will default to what is comfortable and not worry about the heinous ugliness of most orthotic (is that the right word?) footwear. Different societal standards. You are both right.

I like your feet. It's part of the rest of you, and I like the rest of you, too.
