W00t! Congrats on the greens!

I worry about the albino ants. They kinda sound like termites (gross termite picture link!!). If they are, you might want to let your landperson know.

Oh shit. You might be right. I didn't even think of that.

Yeah, I'll have to call the landlord. Who will call exterminators, who will probably destroy my garden in the process of getting rid of them. Man, I hope that's not what they are!

Since a lot of exterminators spray first and ask questions never, you might want to make sure they are termites before telling the owner.

The wikipedia entry on termites is HORRIBLY written. (IMHO, it's barely english in some places.) Try:

Vegetable gardens are yummy. This year, we nixed more of the flowering things to put in edible things. Unfortunately, most of the seedlings got fungusated so no lettuce or pumpkin this time :( The tomatoes are doing awesome though, and the radishes, hot peppers and leeks survived being transplanted. Wheee!
