Oh bb. This is FANTASTIC. Seriously, SO GOOD. It almost hurts. This is my favorite kind of GG fic because it's angsty and PERFECT. And oh, Chuck, I just want to hug you and make it all better. And Blair - LOVE that she ends up with Dan but Chuck always carries scars from loving her. I could not be any happier about this piece, and I'm ecstatic that I decided to prompt what I did because this was exactly what I needed. I have so many favorite lines, but here are some of them:

The way their names feel mixed in his mouth turns every word he speaks that day to ash.

Chuck Bass goes home.

He plays ring around the rosy with his daughter.

This is incredibly-beautifully written.

I am not Chuck's biggest fan right now, and I was never into Cherry -they are fine, every GG ship was fine at a certain point for me, but Dair always came first-.

However after reading this, I can see "Cherry." I don't know if I should add "happening" after the sentence, because I just can see it now. Before it was just another possible ship, but now I see them, I get them, I sort of can grasp from where they could come from and where could they go.

Of course, as the romantic I am, I loved the Dair and I would want the cahracters to be happy and not settling -though happy- as Chuck and Serena are... but it was still a lovely story.

Sorry I rambled so much, I just... I really like this story, and it's definitely different from what I've read so far. Good different, that is.

my otp is Dan/Serena and i will go down with that ship, until probally forever. But i can ship anything when i'm writing. i always put the idea (or the prompt ahead of what i personally like)

Don't get we wrong i really like Dair. If DS can't happen then i'd love Dan/Blair. I think they are cute and have chemistry and their banter is love ♥ lol

But i don't think it's about settling. Serena and Chuck are so alike. And just like Dan and Blair i think that's what makes them sort of compatable.

But i'm no matchmaker, so really what do i know?

Oh I couldn't!! If I have one OTP on anything, like you say, I just couldn't make any sort of graphic or video about something other than them... I just failed to think of it :P It's simply not possible!

Oh, I meant settling in the fic (but in the fic they are happy, but there's some times when it's implied that they both wanted more -or someone else-), not in the show.
And I agree, I guess I can now sort of see how, if Dan & Blair can make sense, then Chuck and Serena should as well.

I actually -going back- I always did enjoy Chuck and Serena's relationship. Mostly on their step-sibs phase, because they were really there for each other and it was lovely -and they interacted :P-.

I guess I really took their relationship there as more of a familiar one, but it worked, so who knows... At this point both Dair and Cherry are the only unexplored couples, and if I'm right and GG wants to be the show that paired up everyone with everyone, then they might be on their way.
