So, we just had an earthquake! Or two, really- the aftershock was longer than the initial quake. They were both about 4.7 (says the usgs website, though they felt around 3.9 to me). I called the local newspaper and gave them my quote, about having lived in earthquake country and knowing what it was immediatly- most local police stations were ( Read more... )

Thought about you when it was a line item in the 6pm newscast.

Figured you just laughed at all the brits that didn't know why their world was coming to an end.

Scott laughed at "under 5.0". I reminded him that they don't have quakes so life is over at +2.0. *giggle*

dood I know!! It's just, I wouldn't be worried except that I live in a brick house- one that already has cracks in the ceiling! But they've stayed the same, so I'm sure we're fine. But ya, loooooool, the peeps were all like "I was so scared, I swallowed all of the fine china! And the silver!!" Or something similar to that. My ben, he said "Oh! Well, is it over?" and I said "yes, I think it should be" and he said "okay well, back to the market, ya??"
I did actually laugh when it happenened, cos I was so happy. It was like, charming. And I mean, it's like having your butt vibrated, and who doesn't like that??
