Why is it that fanfiction writers make comic book characters more 3D and human than the professional writers ever could?

I love it. I love how Cassie broke down and how a million things seemed to fly through Tim's head after she said she was pregnant. This needs a sequal. Or 5. ASAP.

I. LOVE. This.

I can't help but feel that part of the reason Tim never suspects the baby is his is because he's having a little bit of deja vu from when Steph was pregnant. There was no way he could be the father then, and he's a little stuck in that mindset. Hence, the surprise.

I love how he can rationally think about how it makes perfect sense for the baby to be Conner's or someone else's, but he can still admit to himself that it bothers him. Thought the part about it being some sort of plot of the gods just reminded me of one of my own fics. ;p

And then Cassie's mixed feelings combined with Tim's staunch support... it feels like canon pushed to an awesome dramatic max.

*laughs* I was just trying to think of other ways she could be pregnant and the Wonder Girl series came to mind. But you're right, I remember now. Hmm, maybe my subconscious was telling me something. *grins* That was with...Nemesis or something? Been ages since I read it, but since the pairing fandom is small...
