This is a very intense story (esp if you read all 6 chapters back to back!) You keep the suspense going nicely and both Martha's and Ten's voices are spot on !

A typo and a suggestion:

before brining the appendage down to massage the aches out of its counterpart.

Should be another "g" in "brining" - and I'd suggest changing "appendage" to "it" as the former is somewhat clumsy and the latter is succinct.

Speaking of, thanks for the tips. I'll change those ASAP. (Appendage is an odd word, but really, there's only so many words you can use for 'hand' and I was so wrapped up in these limited possibilities that the most obvious answer never came up. *headstrike* But hey. I got to use the word appendage. Can't say that every... month.)

Appendage is a lovely word in and of itself, but in the context jarred me somewhat... And I totally know how it goes when you're trying not to use the same word/phrase incessantly and you get so caught up in it that you miss the obvious.

Not to tread on anyone's toes (as I note that you had a Beta for your earlier chapters) but if you wanted me to cast my eyes over the next chapter, I'd be happy to oblige...
