Merci, Mademoiselle.

She demands quite a bit of my attention as well, however. I must try to curb this to a desirable level.

I think all puppies tend to do that. I'm sure she'll get better and more adorable with age.

Well I did offer him a room where I was staying at but I haven't seen him in days. Thought he might've headed back there but...Guess not.

You don't think...

Oh, a companion. I hear those are fashionable right now.

It seems most everyone received one. Did you not have one of your own, chaton?

'Kitten'?

I prefer travelling with myself. Companions can be so messy.

Oui.

I remember, now. You have not felt yourself recently. You do not remember, do you?

Iago told me that you don't permit him visitors without your permission. May I visit him in his quarters?

I have expressed permission to him already, on a trial basis. If for some reason I ask you to leave, you must comply. And I ask that the both of you use discretion. I have advised him to be careful, and would extend the same advice to you.

For safety reasons I will also need to know when these visits are taking place.

I will follow your rules.

But, 'be careful'? He isn't in any danger around me.

I cannot be certain as I do not know you beyond what I have read. However, Iago has acted on a whim more than once before, around people he had no ill will for, and often to dangerous and disastrous results. Since he has assured me he wants no harm to befall you, I must use the only discretion I have at my disposal.
