Where: Fob!watch verse
"Where's the Doctor?" It only occurred to David to ask this seemingly important question roughly and hour after being in contact with the man that gave them shelter and shuttled them from world to world. He and Harry had just been booted out of one gift

Looking at David, he raised an eyebrow before realising he was being talked to. His tail twitched from where it was hidden in his trousers and he frowned deeply. Something was wrong.
They were missing the Doctor.
"Oh no he's run off without us. Again! I say we get him a leash."

There were just queues everywhere. It was somewhat insane. Queues for shops, queues for queues for shops...
Mad!
"Let's try down this way?"

As they headed down, there was ore queues upon queues upon queues and-- oh! There was one over there with only five people.
"Go there!"
Shoving David along till they were into the line, he lazily stood there with a bored expression. Hey, it killed time.

A few metres away, one of the Gift Shop World Security Officers stopped two kids who looked to just be standing there... Evidently no.
One always had to wait on queue for something here.
How did they sleep?!
"Harry, this is not finding us the Doct-- OH!"
There was that sound. Perfect! Vroop, vroop!
It didn't occur to David that hearing it meant that they were too late. "Let's go!"

"We need to restock on credits, we left them at home," Harry tried with a small frown, looking over the guards shoulder to see if there was anything down there. Nope. More and more and more shops.
"You can trade, you don't have to leave until your done."
"... We are done!" Harry snapped angrily, giving David a determined look as if trying to get him... well, Harry wasn't sure, should they attack or would it just get them arrested or something.

The shuttles were not free, however, which led to one very small problem: finding passage.
David sighed.
And ended up on queue to talk to one of the dock managers. He and Harry were going to have to work for their passage. Hopefully they'd be allowed to.

And why should they have to work for-- oh Rassilon, a trip in the shuttle was 1000 credits.
"They only make 350 a month. Doctor, what are we going to do?"
The thought of mugging someone came time mind. But the only way they could do it was none stop overtime all for a month.

And he'd keep on doing it until he died.
David grinned and set his arm around the shorter man's shoulders. "See, while I'm working, I'll get to shuttle between here and other worlds. We're going to run into the Doctor at some point. And I'll get company housing here."

He didn't want to be sent away or locked in a storage place... but at least he wouldn't get lost and he'd be nearish to David.
"Look... as much as I hate this, can you ask them to store me? Make a case! Say we don't have a home-- its just safer for the both of us. When when you make the money, we can go to the same place."
It was the best option in an awful situation.

Or maybe not. David was so close to tears now it wasn't funny.
He was no good at this. Protecting Harry was impossible, for him at least. He'd have to find him another David before it was too late.

The tail and ears usually gave him away.
"Now, go out there and be strong," Frowning, he made sure no one was around before leaning through the gates and giving David a very awkward headbutt type thing that was meant to be reassuring.

Luckily, the same sympathetic guard was there. He took one look at the way David was weeping and felt sorry for him. "Sir--"
"If he's dangerous, fine. But keep him here, somewhere safe. We don't have a home. We can't have one. He was experimented on, given those awful features. It's not his fault. Let me work for our passage but don't keep him in that cage. Please."

Harry gripped his seat tight, the Doctor was not a good driver at all. He actually drove through someones garden! Oh those poor potted plants.
"Right, we're going to the TARDIS, I'll drop these two numbskulls off in their home and we'll talk," the Doctor assured as he took a swift left and nearly knocked an old lady down. Winding the window down, the Doctor shoved his head out the window. "Sorry bout that! Lovely scarf you have!"

"You're gonna get us killed you idiot!" he yelled, haughty and half broken.
They stopped right in front of an old blue police box and growled. "You're kiddin me."

It seemed fair, right? He could show Sammy a world of adventure and magic and then he would take it all away. Just to be safe.
"Wait! You promised you'd find our Doctor!" Harry protested, he said he would! Not run off with the jerk him.
"I'll do it after! Time is ... wimey."

He refused to get out of the car.
"No, no, you bastard!" he yelled through gritted teeth. "No!"

"Hang on!-- How's Sam?"
"Erm... I can see but I think he's alive," Harry remarked as he wriggled about under the various wires, trying to find Sam. Course instead of putting a hand on his chest, he accidentally strokes the mans thigh. "Woops! Sorry Sammy, erm, are you alive? Very heroic of you, by the way."
Not that Harry liked or cared for heroics that much.

And sure, that was absolutely helping.
There was a snarl from the darkness. And then a tiny, tiny laugh.
"You need to be retrained."

The Doctor continued to hack into the other TARDIS but it was quite a fight, the other TARDIS was resisting, hence the flickering lights.
"Come on, come on, come on. Work!"
While the Doctor and his TARDIS fought for control, Harry awkwardly lay on top of Sam as a protective shield, letting his tail wrap around his leg.

There was always something about him, something off and unhinged, but this was worse. This was murderous.
"If I can't have you, no one can."
