This looks really great! After I read your other post about it I actually contacted the person who posted that amazing replica on deviantart, to ask for a commission, and she never got back to me. So I keep thinking I might also need to learn to knit. :P

I started mid-February, and finished on 1 April ... so that's about six weeks, give or take! I knitted most days but there was a fair bit of backtracking and slow going since I hadn't done it before.

That's awesome! I love that you learned to knit just for this project, and that you did an awesome job...and you found out that you enjoy knitting! yay!! I really enjoy knitting as well, and have been wanting to try a bunch of different projects :D
