Oooooooooh! Clever and unexpected twist with Lestrade knowing all along that Sherlock was alive! It puts his interaction with John in an entirely different context as he would have been forced to conceal the truth from a man who was obviously feeling his friend's (and, perhaps, lover) loss intensely.

I love the anniversary rooftop scene, especially when John asks Lestrade to tell him about Sherlock and then channels Sherlock when he makes that deduction about Lestrade's smoking. It's uncanny that John hasn't been able to accept Sherlock's death, even after three years, as if he somehow does know that Sherlock is still alive. This particular piece of dialogue is beautiful and poignant:

He ducked his head. “I feel like I’m still waiting for that sun to rise. Been waiting for three years, now
