The ability to surprise Spock is something Uhura deliberately nurtures in herself; she thinks it's good for him, and okay, maybe it's a little satisfying. Sometimes. Maybe. The door slides open and she's already moved aside to let him enter, reservedly warm (in case of disconcerted crewmembers). "Come in."

She lets the door slide shut behind him again before she answers, sitting down again and tucking one foot up against her other knee. (In the privacy of her own quarters, she's wearing loose trousers and a shirt that ties and buttons behind her back instead of her uniform and boots; the position is a little less risque than it might otherwise be. Thanks, Starfleet.) She's got started on personalizing the room, but not much has changed yet since the last time he was there.
"I think I've just about stopped waiting for the other shoe to drop on this," she says, archly, tapping the PADD she was working with before he arrived against her thigh, "so I'm well. And you?"

"I am also well," he says, approaching her to take a look at her PADD if she'll allow him to. "What is it you are working on?" If it's at all possible, he'll find a way to help.
