And I always, always love how when trying to describe carrot or Fraser to people unfamiliar with the fandom, you use 'you know ____?' 'only with red/black hair (delete as appropriate)'

I wish! I actually tried to make that one work first, but it seemed CMW was a much more natural fit. For me, that is -- if you were to try your hand at it, maybe...?

That is a lot of funny packed in a small wordcount. Pitch-perfect Discworld and Vimes - I particularly like "a man with an egg that needed painting" and "like watching a rabbit relieve itself" (!!!!) - and hilarious Ray and Fraser. Brilliance!

Good lord, I never knew I needed this fic but apparently I really did. This idea is hilarious and wonderful and I heartily approve.

Also:

If this man had one, Vimes reflected, it would read "sidekick" in large, neon letters, with the first four letters hastily scribbled out.
