Hehe! You had me from the title onwards. You write excellent Pratchett!

Yay! Thank you kindly. The title was pretty much why I wrote it. :)

Have I told you today how much I love you? - I really do. You rock the most awesomest!

knit a squirrel - I just about died with laughter for that. And the whole thing is full of love and Pratchett-y style, and I should know, I'm on a mission. - I'm reading all the Discworld series in order from start to finish. Atm I'm on Moving Pictures, but Soul Music isn't that far off.

Let it be known that 'twas the cover for Soul Music - errantly left by my cousin in the bathroom when he came to visit us, about 10 years ago - that made me want to read Pratchett in the first place. I love how easily Panic! fit into the Discworld, it's almost as if they belonged there, and you just put them into the right places.

*blushes fiercely*

I'm so glad you liked this! It was odd how easily it all came together in my head.

Does that mean you haven't made it to Small Gods yet? Oh boy, you're in for a treat!

(I reread Soul Music while in the process of writing this. I don't know if I'd forgotten about the puns, or if the human brain just isn't made to comprehend such a high density of them. Either way, it's glorious.)

I haven't made it to Small Gods yet (but I have read it before, in fact I've read all of them at least 4 times each, and some of them a lot more, but this time I decided to read them all in order)

Soul Music does have a multitude of great puns - when my sister decided she'd like to be a drummer I managed to talk her into setting me up for the 'if you miss, sit closer' thing.

gah! multiple adrians! ponder! buddy holly! woot!

Oh, cool -- sorry, I misunderstood and thought you were reading them all for the first time. Am a lot less jealous now. :)

Is there anything better in life than being set up for the perfect pun?

I LOVE IT! I have adored your work from day one, ever since I read the Arthur/Ford mpreg, and your talent for getting into the minds of the 'verse's originator has only improved through the years. I have nothing truly constructive to say, only SQUEE!!!

Oh, wow, thank you! That's so lovely to hear! One of my favourite things about writing fanfic is getting the voice and style just right, and it's really awesome that you think I'm getting better at it. :)

Glad you enjoyed!

I'm totally embarrassed by how long I stared at the words "Panic! at the Discworld" trying to figure out why the phrase made so much sense. Then I realized DISCWORLD and did this really undignified jerk-flail thing because I was moving so fast to click the link.

You really nailed the Pratchett style, as well as the Discworld tone. I especially loved "pointy stake onna stick" (AHAHA YES) and "the feeling you get when you're halfway through a waltz only to discover the band is playing a tango and your partner is trying to knit a squirrel" (♥). And the boys as "elves?-us?-never!" and Jon as a wizard, that's adorable and so great. (Aw, he doesn't carry iron around them!) I was also very impressed by the balance you struck between giving background on Ankh-Morpork for those who hadn't read the books and keeping that background short and entertaining for those who had.

Although now, I'm imaging the rest of FBR in this world, and picturing Pete Wentz meeting Death is kind of breaking my brain. So thanks for that. ^_^

Heeeh! Given the amount of undignified flailing involve in the writing of this, your reaction is very fitting.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed this, and you've picked out some of my favourite lines to write. I had so much fun writing this, and it's awesome to see that comes through.

HEEE!! Omg, awesome! It's so rare to find a successful Discworld crossover, and I mean for any fandom. Good job! Sincerely.
