Hm, I am not really sure who to vote you as the first one I thought of was Ortho I am sure there is someone better suited for you but thats the only one I can think of right now.

At times, maybe I could have seen Alexander Severus in how noble and good your intentions for Rome would be. Certainly you would have been a great emperor if the times were good, as he would have been. You're sensible, values tradition yet opens up to a change that's needed according to the times, you're neither frugal nor lavish, outspoken and responsible. Like him, you'd honor the senate and give them the respect they deserve. I think you're far too sweet to go on military excursions yet find there's a need to protect what you must. And Rome had been successful against the rise of Persian power as they focused on defenses of their bordering provinces. So yes, for that I'd say Alexander Severus.

To not complicate your votes further, I'd double vote if it were allowed since I do agree with the reasoning for Alexander Severus. However, I kept on wanting to peg you as a post-Constantine emperor, and perhaps because of that couldn't shake the Jovian vibe. I'm sure that seems random since he had a short reign, but it seems like he would have lasted longer if the circumstances were different. He was rather cautious in certain issues, but eventually pressed to change Rome for what he thought was the better. (He re-instated Christianity and attempted to decrease the amount of prejudice against Christians, per example.) He signed a peace treaty with the Persians, even if the reasons behind that are rather debatable... and, prior to becoming emperor, he seems more focused on his family and such, which really fits with many of your personality traits in my mind. Overall, he comes across as very idealistic in comparison to many of others, but also not opposed towards having fun since he liked drinking.

I can certainly see Alexander Severus here, but your answer about revering the gods really swayed me toward Jovian. I'm pretty much out of brain power at the moment (I've had 3 hours of sleep, omg), but I will say that that's my vote for the reasons the_404_error gave. :)

I don't think I can add anything new to what was said above. :-) So... my vote goes for Jovian.
