This was very fun and interesting to read. Thank you.

Somehow I suspected that K would be one of those Ding! I'm awake! people. :)

Well, I think that's a bit of a misconception. I certainly wasn't this way through my teens, unless it was something I wanted to get up for. I don't get out of bed right away because I want to or because it's easy, I do it because it's one of those things in life that's just got to be done - no sense in avoiding it, it isn't going anywhere and it isn't going to be any more fun ten minutes from now, so quit moaning and just do it.

Uh, yeah :)

Very funny story.

I am the same as you are in the morning: Bleary-eyed, semi-conscious, and (in addition) am so displeased at being awake and out of my warm, comfy bed that I generally loath anything and everything for the first hour or until I have consumed at least two cups of coffee. Plus my hair sticks up funny which makes the murloc comparison even more apt. Julian is the Ding! Awake! type of person and furthermore he is so pleased to have survived the night that he is ridiculously chipper. Example:

*Scene: Morning*
Julian: Good morning, darling!
Me: Mrph.
Julian: Isn't it nice out? The sun is up, the birds are chirping. And look, a squirrel!
Me: Mrph.
Julian: What do you want for breakfast?
Me: Your liver pickled on a silver platter
Julian: ... I'll just leave you alone for a little while.
