Fresh air? Yeah. [Excuse him if he seems a bit lost in thought. He generally is. He walks over to stand next to Shirou and just looks up at the sky. He isn't quite sure where he wants to start, just that he and this man need to talk. About who he is, about what he means to the people around here, maybe even about what he knows. Part of it was he didn't feel comfortable living with someone he didn't know. The other part, well, that was kind of personal.]

[Thinking about it, that kind of reaction didn't sound terribly drastic. Especially for the Order. He wondered that, if he had been in the higher up's shoes, if he wouldn't have ordered the same thing. The idea of sentencing two innocent children to death before they even really had a chance to live, he wasn't sure if he would have been able to do that. Obviously Shirou didn't either.]

You could have lost your position if they found out. But you did it anyway. Why?

Because like I said, I wanted to see them live a better life than the one they had been born into. Plus, someone told me once they just knew I could never kill anyone.

I guess they were right.

[He looks over at Shirou and just stares at him for a little while. He still couldn't quite understand the guy, but somehow he figured that he would feel that way for at least the majority of the time that he knew him. Regardless of how well he understood him, he felt a sense of respect for the man.]

[ Shirou glances over himself, musing. ]

That would be your father.

My Dad? You know my Dad?!

[imperabiliter]

That's right! You're father was the reason I didn't get thrown off that mountain when I first arrived to steal the Koumaken. I didn't have the easiest time climbing that mountain and came away with a nasty injury, needless to say I passed out in front of your father and some other of your sect's members shortly after I arrived.

... All very embarrassing on my part, but he was a very dedicated if a bit of an overemotional man especially when it came to your mother and you.

[Again Bon just stares at him. Why had his father never told him this story? There were so many things that he had kept a secret, so many things that Bon didn't understand about him that he wanted to understand. But you couldn't get to know a person if they treated you like you couldn't handle it. He looked away, pinching the bridge of his nose.]
