I didn't watch this week's Democratic National Convention but followed it by live blog at Daily Kos. I recently read your short story in Dozois's 18th collection, and really loved it. In fact, I was disgusted when it ended so abruptly. Now I find I detest your politics! Ha. Well, I remain a big fan of Springsteen (and Pink!) despite the fact I detest THEIRS also. Looking forward to buying the upcoming short story collections. I admire your writing style. I am not saying your style is similar, but my enjoyment of your style reminded me of reading "In Cold Blood". What I mean to say is that I really did not care what the story was about, because your writing was such a pleasure to read. Thanks!
