YULETIDE, I LOVE YOU!
Dear Yuletide Writer,
I basically sucked at writing in the details box. I'm such a yuletide noob! *facepalm* So hopefully this will be a great help :) First off, you should know that as a yuletide writer, you are an amazing and kind and wonderful person ♥ Seriously. It's often hard to write for obscure-ish fandoms, but you have stepped up to take this challenge on and just by that fact you have already made my day. I tried to make a comprehensive list of things I like/dislike + suggestions to make it easier to write, but by no means should you feel obligated to do all of these things or any of them at all. And if you don't write NC17 fic I totally understand, even if I love smut ;) All other ratings of fic can be just as good or better. <3
Not sure if this is allowed, but if you want to talk to one of my friends about specifics or anything, my bestie Deejae aka forever_withme would probably be wiling to talk to you.
I LOVE slow build-ups. Having a plot makes me happy ;D I adore historical fiction, war, mystery, thriller, romance and/or action genres. Characters dealing with the world around them in some way, trying to take on outside conflicts and making a difference in a political or cultural way = awesome. Angst and real world issues and serious situations add a dimension that I love. Witty sarcastic dialogue, characters putting themselves through tough situations for the person they love, sexual tension, other characters acting as facilitating friends, impromptu dates, and almost rough first times are fabulous. But I like established relationships too.
Boys reading, boys driving awesome cars, boys with messy hair because they just woke up, boys being schmoopy even thought they try to act like they aren't being schmoopy, boys in suits and ties, boys drinking/getting drunk, boys singing, boys playing guitars, boys playing keyboard, boys playing tambourine, boys making out = GORGEOUS. Boys having big fights are also amazing; yelling and cussing and pushing each other around is always epic. Heart ache and waiting games and long terrible gaps in between when the characters can be together are beautiful pains. I love love on the run- as in finding sneaky places to get it on. And boys cooking/being in kitchens/making meals for each other is always awesome/romantic/amazing.
I DISLIKE all-of-a-sudden porn. Like, when it feels like it's out of the blue. I don't like MPreg, lots of fluff, or traditional dating (for example when they only see each other when they sit down at restaurants or go to the movies and they don't do things outside of that). I don't mind serious situations and violence and conflict, but I don't like dub-con or extreme violence between the 'lovers'. I don't like when characters just say 'I love you' and throw that phrase around either.

They are going to get each other through this war. No matter what it takes.
War fic is awesome. I would also love fic centered in the last episode. Like when they find that huge room with the best booze in Europe and they can get a huge gorgeous house all for themselves. Winters getting drunk?! Or when they decide they are going to sign up to ship out to Japan together immediately. Or a continuation of that lake scene when Nix jumps in the water would be fucking amazing. And of course fic about the two of them going back to New Jersey would be gorgeous.

If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. These boys can handle the heat.
I love all the boys in this show, but I requested Jim and Jack and Steven because they are my favorites. This doesn't mean I want a threesome or anything. You could pick a pairing out of these three characters or just leave it open ended. It's just that I think these three play off each other a lot and have a lot of fun in the kitchen. It would be really cool to see how they interact outside of Nolita's; like what they do at home in their day to day lives. Or what if Jack throws a cool Nolita's celebration party at his house and almost forgets to invite Jim or something, so then Steven and Jack go to pick him up? Or What if the boys of Nolita's do something crazy like make a band to advertise for the restaurant? Or what happens after the end of TV show canon?

"Because we know each other too well"
School shenanigans would be awesome. Messing around in broom closests, hiding stuff in each other's lockers, getting stuck in detention, serenading each other in the cafeteria, playing jokes on each other, getting into a fight over band related stuff... Bonus points if there is also a scene in Joe's super awesome huge bed, because you know Kevin doesn't just sleep in that little tiny cubbyhole every night.

Noah Puckerman + Finn Hudson
This show is pure crack but Puck and Finn have such amazing chemistry on screen and I think that should be harnessed in a fic. *G* Kurt is my other favorite character and it would be really cool to see him trying to help Finn and/or Puck through a sexuality crisis. Because you know those boys would ask Kurt about something like that. With Puck and Finn being BFFs who are on the football team AND the glee team that means shit could go down in the locker room AND the green room. tehehe. I feel like they need to fight about a lot of stuff, namely Quinn. And then one thing would lead to another and they would have to confront what was really going on. They constantly see each other (hallway, class, lunch, football field, locker room, glee) and would have to deal with the repercussions of those close quarters.
