Omg this. THIS. Oh Nate. Favorite line: Nate wishes she would save herself (he’s bound by blood and beyond salvation), wishes she would open her eyes and see (the future).

I love that you gave Nate about ten billion more layers than he does on the show. For all his being part of some of the most dramatic storylines (during the first season, at least), he does seem to be more of an observer. And poor Maureen. SHE DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER.

Nate's quite insightful and smart, I'm sure of it. The show simply doesn't give him a chance to show it, so fic it is then. Yes, she really does. Still can't get over what an utter tool Tripp is. Sigh.
