In your LJ, recommend five stories that always work for you: (that is to say, S/R, typically hurting, typically loving, typically them).
Just Breathe, by
setissma. Not her objectively "best" work, whatever that means - I believe Written by Hand or Thine is the Kingdom covers that - but it's my favourite, and always has been. Has all the things she does so well, the little moments that make your heartbeat hitch, and it never fails to have me crying quiet tears at the end of it all.
Gasp, by
lupercali. Gnuuuuuh. Favourite. Sex scene. Ever. It actually makes me teary. God, I'm such a sap. :D
that the science of cartography is limited, by
dorkorific. This fic was the biggest compliment anyone has ever paid me. I won't tell you why, because it's not important, but sufficed to say, it will be my favourite depiction of Remus until the end of time. There actually is no comparison.
Undone, by
librae. Oh, Sarah, you perv. God, but do I love you for this story. There is nothing hotter, nothing more revealing than the way she weaves real confusion and emotion and a little inkling of love, into "boys" and "their things".
The India Song (2/3 and Atlantic Specimen, too), by
ourmutualfiend. I'm really not worthy of commenting on this story, seeing as the first time I read it, the majority of it went right over my head (and still does), but the feeling it leaves you with, tingling to the very tips of your ears and fingers and toes, that's worth it, and always is.
There's more, but I'm being strict with myself. Though it hurts, Mama!
Maybe more later?
