you know, it does no good being a good person because all you get in return is shit. but i guess in the first place if you were a good person then your karma wouldn;t be so bad now would it? How come my karma sucks and i try to be as nice as possible when fuckheads who don;t deserve nanything good get all the good karma the world has to offer. i

Well, this is one reason why I don't buy the concept of karma. Plenty of terrible things happen to awfully good people. It's simply not the way the world works.

People ought to be good and strong and noble and just and compassionate and honorable not because they'll get something in return, but, rather, because what the world needs more of is people that'll continue showing love right in the face of adversity and cruelty and crud.

But that's just the grumblings of an outdated geezer, so... :P

i know i know. i am not nice because i want something in return...i just don't want horrible things to keep happening. for every one good thing that happens to me, 5 bad things happen too. i just hate it when i like who i am and think i am a good person only to have someone tell me i'm not.

You're a great person. Trust me. This is coming from a person who looks at the world not only in terms of right and wrong, but in terms of Good and Evil. And you're on the right side, trust me. Whoever says otherwise is a) dumb; b) in need of a boot to the shins.

So anyway, yeah. For what it's worth, people like you make it worth doing what we do. If it weren't for occasionally really bright, good people, one could burn out fast.
