As they walked out of the movie theatre Evie reached out and took Riley's hand in hers. She was still working on finishing her giant drink. She had been glad when Riley had rescheduled. It had hurt her more than she'd care to admit when he'd cancelled the coffee meet up, but she could understand if he was feeling sick, or off. He probably had enough on his plate without worrying about making time for someone, but the truth was she wanted to see as much of him as she could. These twenty days were time that she had every intention of making full use of.
Only the ball was pretty much always in his court. It was up to him what they did with the time, she just had to make sure he enjoyed himself and that he would want to see her again. And again. And again. She wasn't particularly clear if this was a date, or not, but she wanted to hold his hand regardless.
She looked at her drink, and frowned. "You know, I remember the days when things didn't come in ultra-gigantic size. I kind of miss those simpler days."
